Dr. Jorge Haddock, an international business consultant and educator for more than twenty years and now a Business School Dean, offers his perspectives on the current and future state of corporate America based on his professional and educational experiences and research. Creating Global Business Leaders challenges the reader to think about the future of this ever-changing global environment. Intended for the academia—faculty and administrators—as well as business leaders and executives, the reader will see a different viewpoint about curriculum design, as well as corporate America’s challenges and opportunities. The ideas are presented in the context of the crisis that we so often hear about—i.e., the lack of engineers and scientists in the U.S.—and the real crisis that we do not hear enough about—i.e., the need to create the future business leaders able to integrate innovation and technology with a global business perspective. Dr. Haddock also presents examples on how to address these issues through innovative business education, and discusses the growing importance of the business executives in addressing this need. This book describes the challenges that corporate America faces, as well as some of the opportunities that can be explored. Emphasis is given to the need for most businesses to integrate technology and innovation in a global supply chain.
